Jake and the architecture student have been spending quite a bit of time together.
They’ve talked about architecture.
A lot.
They’ve talked about buildings, classes, the Little Station—and apparently Jake’s coffee.
There’s just one problem.
Jake has finally realized he doesn’t know her name.
“You never asked.”
She noticed.
In fact, she’s been wondering how long this was going to take.
So, after all those conversations, sketches, models and afternoons around the big table, our still-unnamed architecture student finally has a name:
Maggie.
And from somewhere behind the counter, the Little Station speaks for all of us:
“Finally.”
Another small thing has happened here, too. Jake and Maggie didn’t formally decide to become friends. Somewhere along the way, while they were talking about everything except their names, they simply did.
♜ ROOK — new every day at noon.
Different adventures. Same journey.
