Practice is over.
Sarah stopped everything.
For a goalkeeper, that makes it a pretty good day.
But Jake and Ryan are beginning to suspect that Sarah’s goalkeeper instincts don’t end when practice does. She’s still watching. Still reacting. Still ready for whatever comes her way.
So Ryan conducts one final test.
“Free pizza.”
Sarah’s head snaps around.
“Yep. Still on.”
