If you’ve been following ROOK, you know the Little Station on Commercial Street has become a rather busy place.
Jake is usually behind the microphone. Sarah is balancing soccer and everything else. Tall Girl has dance. Friends wander through the door. The Architect occasionally seems to know considerably more than he lets on.
And somewhere in the middle of all of it, the little radio station keeps broadcasting.
ROOK is an original Chesterton Radio comic series about friendship, faith, college life, small-town life, radio—and the unexpected conversations that happen when people actually spend time together.
We’d like to keep it going.
And we’re inviting a few readers, listeners, businesses and friends of Chesterton Radio to help us do that by becoming ROOK sponsors.
Why sponsor ROOK?
ROOK isn’t simply another piece of content added to a feed.
It’s something we’re building.
New strips appear throughout the week, with a special Sunday ROOK inspired by the day’s Gospel. The characters and their world continue from one strip to the next, drawing from the peculiar mixture of college life, Atchison, radio, friendship and faith that surrounds the Little Station.
Sponsorship helps Chesterton Radio devote the time and resources necessary to keep creating it—and helps us continue developing original work rather than simply chasing whatever happens to perform best on an algorithm.
What would sponsorship look like?
We want sponsorship to fit the spirit of ROOK.
That means no intrusive advertising inside the comic and no turning the characters into salesmen.
Instead, sponsors can be acknowledged alongside the series with a simple message such as:
ROOK is presented with the support of [Sponsor Name].
Depending upon the sponsorship, recognition could also include a sponsor name, logo and link on ROOK posts or a recurring acknowledgment on Chesterton Radio.
We’re especially interested in sponsors who appreciate what ROOK is trying to create: families, local businesses, Catholic organizations, alumni, friends of Benedictine life, Chesterton Radio listeners—and individuals who simply want to help an unusual little comic continue.
You don’t have to own a business
A sponsorship can also come from a person or family.
Perhaps you’d like to sponsor ROOK for a week in honor of someone.
In memory of someone.
To celebrate an anniversary, graduation or birthday.
Or simply:
“This week’s ROOK is supported by a friend of the Little Station.”
That may be the most ROOK-like sponsorship of all.
Interested in sponsoring ROOK?
We’re keeping this deliberately small and personal as we begin.
Email us at info@chestertonradio.com and put ROOK Sponsorship in the subject line.
Tell us a little about yourself, your family, business or organization and what kind of sponsorship you have in mind. We’ll get back to you personally and talk about what might make sense.
And if sponsorship isn’t for you, you can still help enormously simply by reading ROOK, sharing it with someone, and helping new readers discover the Little Station.
The door is open.
The microphones are on.
And, somehow, Jake hasn’t broken anything important yet.
Help us keep ROOK broadcasting.
